Nightlife in Dubai

The social scene for all those living in Dubai the nightlife really kicks off after dark. There are a variety of events, attractions and venues offering very impressive array of night life. Unlike other cities, Dubai doesn’t have a nightlife restriction.

Other than a having a particular entertainment heart, there are varied venues across the amazing metropolis, that will take a few nights to really explore them all. Dubai has an excellent nightlife scene that needs to be explored.



Bars in Dubai are not just the haunt of businessmen, a lot of expatriates meet up in their favorite hotel or bar particularly on Thursdays or Saturday nights as these are the biggest nights for socializing. Many of these bars stay open until the wee hours of the morning. Recently there have been a flow of bars opening and expatriates meeting to watch major events or to chill out or seriously flirt.

There are no casinos in Dubai as gambling is totally against the Muslim tradition. Nightclubs are plentiful, and many cater only over 25’s, and all have to shut by 3am and most are divided into themes from international to Arabic to African to Latin American. All the major hotels have a variety of bars. In terms of alcohol, Dubai and UAE is Muslim- but expatriates are allowed alcohol licenses to buy and consume alcohol in their homes and bars, restaurants, pubs, and clubs. For those who are fond of music there are some seriously talented bands at home in Dubai and many of the international venues and hotels regularly import acts for a season, an event or a one off night of fantastic musical entertainment.
