Experience : 10+ Years.

Activities :
1. Discussing the objectives, requirements and budget of a project;
2. Consulting with other professionals about the design of an environment;
3. Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client;
4. Advising the client on the practicality of their project;
5.Assisting in site selection;
6. Using IT in design and project management, specifically using software packages such as Computer Aided Design (CAD);
7. Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines;
8. Producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications;
9. Specifying the nature and quality of materials required;
10. Preparing tender applications and presentations;
11. Negotiating with contractors and other professionals;
12. Preparing applications for planning and building control departments;
13. Preparing tender documents for contracts;
14. Project managing and co-coordinating the work of contractors;
15. Controlling a project from start to finish;
16. Regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget;
17. Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction;
18. Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is limited.

A Day in an Architect's Life:
1. Discuss the objectives, requirements, and budget of a project;
2. Provide various predesign services which may include conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies, selecting a site, or specifying the requirements the design must meet;
3. Prepare drawings and present ideas for the client to review;
4. Develop final construction plans that show the building's appearance as well as details for its construction;
5. Follow building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances;
6. Make necessary changes throughout the planning process;

Description : Architects design buildings and other structures. In addition to considering the way these buildings and structures look, they also make sure they are functional, safe, economical and suit the needs of the people who use them.
