Draughtsman job in Dubai, UAE


Education : Bachelors Degree.


Experience : 1 - 5 Years.

Skills :
  • Must have extensive AutoCAD experience (Inventor advantageous).
  • Experience in producing detailed drawing packages for oilfield equipment using specialized industrial equipment, preferably related to the oilfield derrick and mast design.
  • Good understanding of assembly, welding, and machinery methods.
  • Preferable knowledge of oil field drilling equipment both on and offshore.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with groups outside of engineering (e.g., quality, marketing, construction, field service, clients, etc.) as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Minimum 5 years industry related experience.

Responsibilities :
  • Design oil field equipment utilizing machine design principles, machining, welding, casting, and other fabrication techniques.
  • Develop preliminary sketches, layout, assembly and detail drawings using AutoCAD and Auto Desk Inventor.
  • Other work as directed.

Description : Draughtsman, or draftsmen, produce mechanical, technical and architectural drawings as well as maps. This is a highly technical career requiring excellent math skills and attention to detail. This type of work was done for many years with pen and pencil using instruments such as protractors and compasses. It is now done primarily with computers, with the draftsman using a computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) system. Draftsmen work in a variety of industries using their knowledge of building materials, engineering practices, mathematics and physical sciences to produce drawings.
