Conference Producer Job in Dubai, UAE


A conference producer organizes conferences. These positions tend to be a part of the sales or marketing departments. Not all businesses are large enough to have in-house conference producers, so this position is often hired on a freelance basis.

Responsibilities :
The canidate must research, produce and manage a couple of conferences annually. As a Conference Producer you will focus on the creation of issue oriented conferences. Responsibilities include in-depth phone research, market analysis, content development, identifying and recruiting speakers, writing marketing material and on-site event management.


Tasks

Research - Develop topics of interest based on issues and emerging trends that currently surround the industry.

Recruitment - Decide which influencers and industry experts are best suited for the conference, reach out to them and negotiate terms of the contract.

Production - Choose a location, obtain all necessary permits and coordinate day-of-the-event activities for attendees and services for the speakers.

Promotion - Promote and publicize events on various media channels.

Direction - Supervise the event and all staff to ensure the conference runs smoothly.


Types

  • Conferences include special events, business meetings, trade shows, conventions, workshops and exhibits.


Requirements

  • To be an effective conference producer, candidates must have great communication skills, be able to think fast on their feet and be able to deliver results. Speaking, listening and writing are crucial to this position because you have to be able to express what you want to achieve in a timely fashion. You're constantly putting out fires and need to think of ways to resolve issues quickly, both leading up to and on the day of the event. Motivation and the ability to work independently is a must to see the project through to the end.


Education

  • Education requirements vary depending on a variety of factors like the company, location and industry. Most companies prefer that you have a 4-year degree with some experience in event planning or producing in a fast-paced environment.
