Art Teacher Job in Dubai, UAE

Art teachers are expected to bring their knowledge and talent into the classroom where they can introduce students to art in its many forms and traditions. Art teachers work with students at all levels to encourage and assist students to express themselves through art. An art teacher must also fulfill all the responsibilities and duties of a classroom teacher, including following curriculum guidelines, keeping records and maintaining order in the classroom, according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Education : Bachelors Degree




Experience : 1 - 5 Years




Skills :
1. Experience working with children, art appreciation or related skills, strong communication skills, patience and ability to work with children & adults. 
2. Willing to travel within the Emirates.


Responsibilities :
The Certified Instructor will set up the class, work with & encourage the students, teach Art principles as outlined & help students reach their creative potential.


Description :
We hire people who love working with children aged 2yrs to adults. We provide the training and you provide your experience and personality.Our Instructors must have a prior experience working with children. Art experience is helpful.


Elementary School

  • Elementary school art teachers must be flexible as they may or may not have their own classroom. Elementary school art teachers frequently move from classroom to classroom, transporting art supplies and materials to students.

According to O-Net Online, elementary school art teachers must be responsible for enforcing rules of behavior, meeting student instructional needs, establishing clear objectives and goals and evaluating student progress, including assessing student work through art portfolios.

Elementary school art teachers must be excellent communicators, interacting with students through discussions and demonstrations, interacting and communicating with parents, colleagues and administrators.


Middle School

  • A middle school art teacher must adapt art projects to students’ abilities and needs. An art teacher in a middle school must maintain and support an appropriate classroom setting where students can learn about art traditions, as well as learn how to express themselves through art.

Middle school art teachers must be responsible for all classroom and school-wide duties and responsibilities. According to O-Net Online, an art teacher must demonstrate clear objectives and communicate these objectives to students. In addition, an art teacher must provide a balanced art program, including using technology, demonstrations and making provisions for student work time. Teacher responsibilities also include maintaining a safe environment and assessing student work.


High School

  • A high school art teacher’s duties include establishing an appropriate level of art instruction for student’s who choose art as an elective. A high school art teacher must also be responsible for lesson plans, meeting curriculum guidelines, supporting school activities, enforcing administrative policies and providing materials and technology appropriate for an art classroom at the secondary level.


Certification

  • In all states, an art teacher in a public school must meet all state requirements for certification, including earning at least a bachelor’s degree, completing all required professional education courses, successfully completing a student teaching assignment and passing any or all state required exams.
