Landscaping Supervisor job in Dubai, UAE

Education : Bachelors Degree.

Experience : 1 - 5 Years.

Skills :
  • Diploma in an Horticultural discipline with Civil Engineering background. Good written and oral knowledge of English.
  • At least three years grounds maintenance experience, of which 2 years must have included assigning and evaluating the work of grounds maintenance crews/contractors at two or more facilities. Good working knowledge of the methods of horticulture including, irrigation systems, planting, plant material, cultivating and caring for trees, shrubs, flowers and grass areas. Civil maintenance experience and knowledge is desirable.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Access.
  • Prepares and maintains various records/reports, such as Daily/Monthly Activities, Weekly/Monthly Operations Report.

Responsibilities :
  • Supervises all landscaping personnel; duties include planning, scheduling, organizing and 
  • directing work, training personnel, and recommending applicants for employment or for 
  • discipline, termination or retention. 
  • Teaches and enforces safety regulations. 
  • Monitors jobs both indoors and outdoors to ensure quality and compliance with job 
  • standards. 
  • Performs duties of a landscaper. 
  • Maintains records of jobs performed, departmental charge codes and hours worked by 
  • employees. 
  • Maintains effective communication with faculty horticultural specialists and other 
  • departments. 
  • Orders tools, equipment and supplies. 
  • Coordinates activities with other trades areas and outside contractors.

Description :
Landscapers make our yards and properties look and smell good. They create beauty and serenity with plants, flowers, shrubs and different land elevations. A landscaping professional can transform a plain, flat grassy area into a beautiful garden that is very appealing and inviting. Landscaping is also used for more practical purposes. It is used to hide ugly building details and utility company boxes, and to dress buildings and give a concrete area a softer appearance.. Landscaping is also used to create great recreation areas such as golf courses and baseball diamonds.
