Heavy Duty Mechanic job in Dubai, UAE

Education : Bachelors Degree.

Experience : 1 - 5 Years.

Skills :

Essential skills :
  • Good oral communications skill.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good health, physical fitness, stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Good vision, hearing, and sense of smell to diagnose problems.

Technical skills :
  • General mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures.
  • Ability to operate power tools and equipment with precision.

Responsibilities :
  • Diagnose & complete repairs on all company equipment.
  • Confer with Shop Foreman regarding all repairs and the extent of repairs necessary.
  • Order material/parts required to complete repairs.
  • Ensure that repairs remain inside budget requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.
  • Use computer to input all time sheets, materials, equipment information for purchase orders.
  • Perform work in either shop or outdoor construction site settings.
  • Work with other shop of field personnel.
  • Act in a courteous manner in order to project a positive company image.
  • Assist with other duties as required from time to time.

Description : Heavy-duty equipment mechanics repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction, transportation, forestry, mining, oil and gas, material handling, landscaping, land clearing, farming and similar activities. They are employed by companies which own and operate heavy equipment, by heavy equipment dealers, rental and service establishments, and by railway transport companies and urban transit systems.
