Education : Bachelors Degree.
Experience : 5 - 10 Years.
Technical Skills :- Proven hands-on experience with Linux (Preferably RHEL) and Open Source in an enterprise environment.
- Proven hands-on experience with various web applications (Apache, J2EE, etc).
- Understanding of IP and LAN & WAN connectivity and administration.
- Understanding of DNS.
- Understanding of firewall security systems basics.
- Physical hardware administration in an enterprise environment.
- Previous systems administration experience and aptitude in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Java/J2EE application servers, including Tomcat, Resin, and JBoss.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails deployments.
- Experience with load balancers.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with networking concepts.
- Experience with PHP deployments.
- Experience with VMware.
- Experience with mail stacks and email administration.
- Hands-on experience with basic database administration (MySQL, Postgres, etc).
Non-Technical Skills :
- Associate’s degree or Trade School certificate in a related field. Bachelor’s degree in a
- technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities :
- Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
- Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
- Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
- Able to travel throughout sales territory.
Description :
A technical sales engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills. The emphasis of the work varies depending on the level of technical knowledge needed to sell products and services and respond effectively to clients’ queries.
Clients are usually technical staff from non-retail organisations, such as factories, public utility providers, local authorities and hospitals.
To ensure clients’ and their own company's needs are met, technical sales engineers liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as research, development, design, purchasing, production, and quality, as well as senior company managers.
