The key role of the Telemarketing Manager is to recruit, mentor and lead an outbound and inbound call center. There will be challenges which require a comprehensive understanding of very basic management skills in this position. It is the responsibility of a Telemarketing manager to supervise the telemarketers in persuading the individuals or customers to buy the services and products of the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities.

The main task of a Telemarketing Manager is to create a process impelled workflow for telemarketing or sales and lead qualification and follow-up. He must maintain the follow-up procedures to new clients and initiate them under minimal supervision correctly. He must be able to develop call scripts for the use of telemarketers with lead generation and qualification. He must optimize telemarketing and telesales operations by using data driven examines. Performance metrics and team compensation structure must be created by the telemarketing manager. He must ensure the alignment by interfacing closely with sales department. It is the responsibility of a Telemarketing Manager to supervise the telemarketers in persuading the customers to buy the services and products of the organization. He must train, develop and manage telemarketing or telesales teams for software or technology organizations. He must sell and position the products of the company to the customers. He must be a belt to update the customer relationship management system with new contacts. He must maintain applicable contact data and accurate details data in the database. It is the responsibility of the Telemarketing Manager to update the customer relationship management system with new contacts. He must set up appointments for sales force directly and qualify leads by calling sales prospect individuals in target industries.

A telemarketing manager must be able to handle multiple projects effectively. He must be able to train others in telemarketing and telesales function. He must be able to meet tight deadlines and to prioritize work.

Purpose:
The purpose of the List Research Manager is to make sure that each conference''s integrated marketing campaign is supported with a sizeable number of relevant names from the target industry in question, which will have to be acquired and researched by the Manager''s team.
It is the responsibility of the List Research Manager to make sure that the targets set up for the department are achieved. These targets include both productivity and quality goals, as well as long term profitability goals regarding the lists built by the department.

Key areas of responsibility:
Team Management
Assist in hiring for the team
Facilitate induction and training of new staff
Coach team members in an effective way
Monitor staff performance to ensure they meet individual targets
Database Processes
Creation & allocation of all list research assignments managed by the department
Source relevant targeted names
Monitor all assignments to ensure data integrity
Accountable to marketing managers on project progress
Management of master database, including collation, coding and cataloguing of all data
Make sure that the lists built are sent to the Database Manager as soon as they are finalized
In conjunction with the Marketing Director, keep a close eye on the forward schedule to make sure that all relevant seminars and conferences are being researched in an effective way
List Generation
Querying internal database and output data for internal purposes and external swaps / list rentals (including sending relevant confidentiality forms and request sample mail pieces, plus monitoring seeds)
List Research
Contribute to the output of the department by conducting list research assignments when required



Reporting
Weekly reporting on total number of names collected, broken down by source and detailing performance of researchers, as measured by call rates, quantities collected and quality of data
