Skills : - Write and evaluate professional quality technical and journalistic content.
- Expert user knowledge of the Microsoft Office products MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
- Experience with, and practical knowledge of marketing-especially internet marketing, including Web sites, email, B2B, lead generation, lead nurturing, search marketing and direct mail.
- Experience with, and practical knowledge of industry email marketing systems and software.
- Bachelors Degree in Publishing or English or 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Develops, manages and executes overall editorial strategy/plans within all editorial and marketing-related content to increase reach, readership and generate leads.
- Writes multiple articles, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, webinars and special reports/books in conjunction with CEO and Marketing team.
- Establishes, manages and optimizes internal editorial production schedule.
- Establishes, manages and executes all editorial processes, standards, guidelines and style guides between departments and sister companies to ensure brand consistency, establish quality benchmarks and produce optimal editorial and marketing content.
- Edits all editorial and marketing content/materials to maximize impact and results.
- Identifies and executes upon multiple cross-promotional content opportunities between sister-companies-MarketingExperiments and MarketingSherpa.
- Assists the Director of Marketing, sales and Executive Management in planning, aligning and promoting existing and new products/services via editorial avenues.
- Actively researches viable editorial stories through internal and external resources.
- Actively participates in sister-company events, workshops, webinars and clinics.
- Indirectly manages "editorial" staff including marketing managers, sales and other content contributors throughout organization to gather, write and edit applicable content.
- Actively researches, analyzes and implements new editorial/content methodologies.
- Manages and oversees all editorial department budget.
- Manages 3rd party content creation relationships.
- Audits editorial quality, effectiveness and results applying qualitative and quantitative techniques.
