Skills :  

1)Candidates must be very presentable and with pleasing personality.
2)Must be confident, active, willing to learn, flexible and ability to work in a very busy environment. Knowledge & experience in different hair style, hair cut , and treatments is a must.
3)Candidates must be updated with the trends in the hair industry too.
4)Qualifications and Certifications in Hair Styling from a recognised university is preferred.

They are looking for highly motivated and creatively driven stylists with a minimum of 7 years experience in advanced cutting and colouring. Hairstylists provide hair care services to enhance their customer's appearance. Hairdressers and hairstylists provide a wide range of hair care services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring and styling. They also clean and style wigs and hairpieces. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, some hairdressers and hairstylists also offer cosmetology services, such as skin care and makeup. Hairdressers and hairstylists work with both genders; however, barbers specialize in men. Barbers shampoo, trim, cut, and style the hair of male clients. They also provide other male aesthetic services, such as shaving, hair piece fitting and placement, and scalp treatments. Some barbers also are licensed to color or dye hair.

Education

A high school diploma or GED certificate is required in some states. A license is mandatory and can be achieved through graduating from a state-licensed cosmetology or barber school. A high school diploma or GED is often mandatory to get into cosmetology or barber school; however, some programs can be taken simultaneously with one's high school education. Programs can also be found in high schools and vocational schools. The licensing test may include a written portion, oral section and a hands-on test of styling hair. Full-time programs usually last nine months and can lead to an associate's degree. Professionals may take advanced courses to gain an edge over other practicing hairstylists.A growing number of hairstylists are also selling beauty products. Many hairstylists are also involved in the business aspect of a salon and may have owner or managerial duties, along with providing hair care services.
