Administrative Assistant job in Dubai, UAE

Education :
 Bachelors Degree.

Experience :  1 - 5 Years.

Responsibilities :
  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors.
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
  • Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex/Airborne packages.
  • Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.
  • Coordinate and maintain records for staff office space, phones, parking, company credit cards and office keys.
  • Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain and distribute staff weekly schedules.
  • Collect and maintain PC inventory.
  • Support staff in assigned project based work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills :
  • Computer literate.
  • Good writing, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management 
  • and general administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, 
  • telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Description : The Administrative Clerk will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Administrative Clerk will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering financial information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
